Going Greek at UMD is an important decision for your student and one that you need to be comfortable with as well. Your student will be part of a self-governing community that provides a multitude of opportunities for both personal and professional development, all of which will help lead your student to a bright and successful future.
Current Member Resources
Greek Life Office (G.O.) is a meeting room and lounge space for the Greek Life community to conduct business and bond with fellow community members. The G.O. is located in Kirby Student Center, room 115C, and is open to all Greek Members during Kirby's regular business hours. |

About PHC
PANHELLENIC COUNCIL
The Panhellenic Council (PHC) is the governing board for four of the five sororities at UMD. Its officers follow the local PHC constitution and bylaws as well as all National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) Policies. PHC is responsible for organizing primary recruitment, programming and educational opportunities, communication efforts, and for supporting the Panhellenic community.
Panhellenic Council meets every other Wednesday at 4:15 PM in the Greek Office!

The Greek Council is the governing body for four men's fraternities and one sorority at the University of Minnesota Duluth. To get on the agenda to visit or present at a Greek Council Meeting, please contact the VP of Administration listed below.

GREEK LIFE AT UMD
Greek-lettered organizations, starting out as honors societies, have been a part of UMD's history since 1933 (before UMD was even UMD). The first social Greek-lettered organization came to campus in 1950. Greek Life is now home to around 215 members and 9 organizations. As well as two governing councils.

Policy: Tabling (Non-University/External guest)
Kirby Student Center offers contact tabling opportunities for non-University, external organizations and businesses that would like to engage with UMD students during the academic year. Tabling is a means for organizations to connect with students for commercial advertising, awareness or recruitment purposes. Tabling does not occur during academic breaks or during the summer.
Rentals for external guests are subject to availability. Kirby Student Center reserves the right to approve or deny any external rental request; may also limit frequency of reservations.
