Sponsorship Opportunities

Bulldog Beginnings serves as a home and resource to all new UMD students and their families to ensure their successful transition to UMD. It is responsible for the planning and execution of Bulldog Welcome Week, Welcome Back Week, and First-Year Programs. Bulldog Beginnings is fueled by a small, student-drive team, a campus community advisory council, and over 50 student volunteers.  The program offers a number of sponsorship and promotional opportunities for organizations who have an interest in reaching the new student and/or parent audiences. Following are the available opportunities.

GOLD SPONSORSHIP ($3,000)

Please submit names/logos by JUNE 19th, 2025.

  • Company name and/or logo will be listed on the new student t-shirt for around 2,000 students Your organization may provide chosen name/logo to Bulldog Beginnings email: [email protected].
  • Company name and/or logo listed on the Bulldog Beginnings website (with link to sponsors website), promoted on Kirby Student Center social media, and featured in the Welcome Guide in the UMD app. Your organization may provide chosen name/logo to Bulldog Beginnings email: [email protected].
  • 10’ x 10’ vendor space at Sponsor Fair during the Bulldog Bash, reaching around 1,000 students and families, on August 20 and 21, 2025. This includes a 6’ table and two chairs with the option to set up your own canopy tent. Distribution of promotional items to new students (around 2000) during the event (no coupons please).
  • Company name and/or logo listed on a display during Welcome Week - (3 ft x 4ft banner in Kirby Student Center).
  • Company name and/or logo listed on table tents in Kirby Student Center during the first few weeks of classes.
  • One complimentary tabling event per semester (within this academic year).

MAROON SPONSORSHIP ($2,000) 

Please submit names/logos by AUGUST 1st, 2025.

  • 10’ x 10’ vendor space at Sponsor Fair during the Bulldog Bash, reaching around 1,000 students and families, on August 20 and 21, 2025. This includes a 6’ table and two chairs with the option to set up your own canopy tent. Distribution of promotional items to new students (around 2000) during the event (no coupons please).
  • Company name and/or logo listed on the Bulldog Beginnings website (with link to sponsors website) and featured in the Welcome Guide in the UMD app.. Your organization may provide chosen name/logo to Bulldog Beginnings email: [email protected].
  • Company name and/or logo listed on a display during Welcome Week - (3 ft x 4ft banner in Kirby Student Center).
  • One complimentary tabling event (within this academic year).

BLACK SPONSORSHIP ($1,000)

Please submit names/logos by AUGUST 1st, 2025.

  • Company name and/or logo will be listed on Bulldog Beginnings materials. Your organization may provide chosen name/logo to Bulldog Beginnings email: [email protected].
  • Company name and/or logo listed on a display during Welcome Week - (3 ft x 4ft banner in Kirby Student Center).
  • Company name and/or logo listed on the Bulldog Beginnings website (with link to sponsors website). Your organization may provide chosen name/logo to Bulldog Beginnings email: [email protected] by August 1st.

PATRON EVENT SPONSOR (VARIES $500-$5000)

  • Be an event Sponsor to help pay for supplies that help make our events happen! Donations can go toward a specific event or a necessary supply. This ranges from food, performers’ salaries, promotional giveaways, stage equipment, and more.
  • Major Events during Bulldog Welcome Week
    • Bulldog Scramble/All Student Photo
      • Help us welcome the incoming 2025 students by sponsoring a memorable group photo, followed by the Bulldog Scramble—a fantastic opportunity for students to connect, network, and build lasting relationships. Your sponsorship can help create a vibrant, inclusive environment for new students to engage with one another. (Ex. Sponsor event supplies, snacks, etc.)
    • Mocktails and Mario Kart
      • Sponsor a fun-filled gaming event at Kirby Ballroom, where students will gather to play Mario Kart and other interactive games. It's the perfect chance for students to unwind and have fun, and your support can help bring excitement and joy to the student experience. (Ex. Sponsor appetizers, snacks, etc.)
    • Bulldog Welcome Week Kickoff
      • Join us in sponsoring the Welcome Week celebration, featuring the Chancellor, marching band, sports teams, and Champ the Bulldog! This high-energy event is a fantastic way to show school pride and engage with incoming students, all while creating a strong sense of community. Your sponsorship will help fuel the excitement and spirit of the occasion. Gooooo dogs! (Ex. Sponsor pep rally supplies, snacks, etc.)
    • DIY Terrariums
      • Sponsor a hands-on, creative event where students can tap into their green thumbs by building their own terrariums. This DIY activity not only helps students bring a bit of nature into their dorms, but it also fosters new friendships and connections. Your sponsorship can help provide materials and make this relaxing, engaging experience a reality for students. (Ex. Sponsor terrarium supplies, snacks, etc.)
