How to Join Greek Life at UMD
Whether you come to the University of Minnesota Duluth with the idea of joining Greek Life or not, exploring all we have to offer may be the beginning of an incredible lifelong journey. Greek Life is comprised of five sororities and five fraternities, ranging from local to international and service to social.
If you are interested, we encourage you to explore upcoming recruitment events. Recruitment refers broadly to all opportunities in which students might seek membership within one of the fraternities or sororities at UMD. The recruitment process differs for each of the organizations. Some recruitment processes are formal, while others are informal. All options offer the opportunity to get to know what makes each organization unique and will help you determine what organization is the best fit for you.
We offer a number of different events for many different people to explore Greek Life. During Bulldog Beginnings Welcome Week. Greek Life provides an informational workshop for incoming students to learn about each organization. At the beginning of each semester, organizations often participate in the activities fair as well as other beginning of the year orientation events.
